Overall I would say this resort is very nice but feel like they just missed some of the basics, and it makes me question if I would return. Also, of note, although it’s Mexico and digestive issues are typical for visitors, 4 out of 10 people in our group had varying degrees of digestive sickness. Wait times for food and drink were longer than expected. Also it was very difficult to get bottled water from many of the bars/restaurants, and many of them simply had run out. The liquor selection was worse than the neighborhood dive bar, frequently running out of their "best whiskey," Jack Daniels. Portions were small and the drinks were weak. I know it's all inclusive but the food and drink were rather standard. My only issue with the resort was the food and drink. The hotel offered tons of entertainment and activities to keep you as busy as you wanted to be. Room and hotel cleanliness were immaculate. It wasn't busy during our late April stay, and even though it was the dry season, the hotel landscape was well taken care of. In comparison to Cancun trips, this hotel and its atmosphere were very welcoming to couples. Huatulco is a remote location, and if you're looking for a hotel away from the hustle and bustle, it's for you.
